House of Voltaire 2016, London
Temporary shop for Studio Voltaire at 31 Cork St, London W1S 18th November to 18th December 2016
The 4th iteration of our collaboration with House of Voltaire, whose temporary shop opens in Mayfair every 2 years, selling artist's editions and works to support the gallery and studio programme of Studio Voltaire.
Located in what had been the Alan Cristea Gallery on Cork Street, we had less than a month to design, fabricate and install a transformation of the two white box gallery spaces. We recycled elements from previous years and supplemented the trademark dark green paint & oak with a cork floor covering to create and a calm, warm atmosphere with a variety of different display furniture that referenced domestic and retail environments rather than the art gallery.
